GRAND RAPIDS

84th Annual Hollyhock Lane Parade July 4

Enjoy the longest running Fourth of July parade in the state of Michigan!  The parade starts at the corner of Calvin and Alexander Street at 8:00 AM. Children are welcome to participate by decorating their bikes or making wagon floats. Cash prizes will be awarded to floats placing 1st, 2nd or 3rd in the categories of “Best Patriotic Theme” and “Best Environmental Theme.” Post-parade ceremonies include a flag raising, singing of the National Anthem, float prizes, treats and a live jazz band.

Ada 4th of July Parade, Activities and Fireworks, Various Locations July 3 and 4

Start the holiday a little early with a bike decorating party at Ada Park on July 3 at 10 am. Festivities begin on July 4 with a Fireman’s Breakfast at the Ada Township Fire Station, followed by a children’s parade, main parade, community celebration and car show, with fireworks at Ada Christian School at dark/approximately 10 pm.

City of East Grand Rapids 4th of July Celebration for 2018, Collins Park July 4

The celebration starts with a parade at noon followed by a party in Collins Park featuring musical entertainment, inflatables, games, air brush tattoos, balloon animals and concessions by Shafer concessions. Food trucks will be on site. Highlighting the celebration is a water ski show on Reeds Lake. Enjoy live music through the evening right up until the fireworks show starts at dusk.

Amway Family Fireworks, Ah-Nab-Awen Park July 7

Come down to Ah-Nab-Awen Park on Saturday, July 7 for family-fun activities, games, food trucks, vendors, exhibits and live bands followed by the iconic fireworks show over the Grand River at 10:30.

Front Row for the Fireworks, Grand Rapids Public Museum July 7

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Guests can explore all three floors of the museum, ride the 1928 Spillman Carousel, see a planetarium show, hear patriotic melodies from the Mighty Wurlitzer Organ and interact with historical characters. Guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs for viewing the fireworks outside at dusk.

Celebration Freedom & 4th of July Fireworks, Kollen Park July 4

Enjoy kids games, vendors, a martial arts demonstration and live music starting at 1 pm at Kollen Park, followed by a fireworks over Lake Macatawa at approximately 10:30. Food booths will be on site.

Fireworks on Deck, USS LAS 393 Veterans Museum July 4

Join Fireworks on Deck aboard the USS LST 393 Veterans Museum for a stunning fireworks display over Muskegon Lake.  The World War II landing ship is located at the Mart Dock in downtown Muskegon, just yards from the fireworks site.
