Grand Rapids Symphony launches 30% off sale on single tickets for fall concerts

PRESS RELEASE — Grand Rapids is a great place to live and work, and the Grand Rapids Symphony is proud to be a part of the wonderful community of West Michigan.

This past summer at Cannonsburg Ski Area, whether they were dancing to the music of Motown, singing along with songs of The Beatles or basking in the glow of fireworks following Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, nearly 17,000 members of our community joined the Grand Rapids Symphony in July and
August for the D&W Fresh Market Picnic Pops.

Our 25th anniversary season of “Symphony under the Sky was chock-full of good times and great music. Summer is winding down, but we don’t want the party to end. So we’re kicking off our 90th anniversary season with the biggest, best, most spectacular single-ticket sale of the season.

Your Grand Rapids Symphony is thanking its community for nearly 90 years of amazing support by offering single tickets for this fall’s upcoming concerts at an unprecedented discount of 30 percent. You read that right. You, your family, your friends and neighbors all can get 30 percent-off single tickets to see and hear legendary violinist Itzhak Perlman on Nov. 7 in his first DeVos Hall appearance in more than 35 years.

Or join us as Harry Potter battles the forces of evil in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, the full-length film plus live music, on Oct. 18-19.

Movie lovers won’t want to miss Ghostbusters with conductor Peter Bernstein, son of its brilliant film composer Elmer Bernstein, leading your Grand Rapids Symphony for one-night only on Oct. 31.

Hear Grammy Award-winning violinist Augustin Hadelich play the magnificent Beethoven Violin Concerto on Sept. 13-14 or Van Cliburn Gold Medalist Olga Kern perform the incredible Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No. 3 on Oct. 4-5.
