PRESS RELEASE-Downtown Holland is pleased to announce plans for a brand new summer event called Concerts In The Park scheduled to begin next month. Concerts In the Park is a free, lunchtime concerts series that will be held every Wednesday from June 12 – August 28 from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm in GDK Park on 8th Street between Central and River Avenues. Concerts In the Park is proudly sponsored by Haworth.

Bring a blanket, pack a lunch (or grab one “to go” from a Downtown Holland restaurant), sit back and relax as the sounds of jazz, folk, blues, Tejano music and more fill 8th Street!

Concerts In the Park will kick off on Wednesday, June 12 with popular local favorite Matt Gabriel. Gabriel is a singer/songwriter based in Grand Rapids who has spent over a decade writing and performing across the country. Gabriel performs a mix of folk and blues that you would expect form an artist who grew up between Chicago and Detroit. He puts on a must-see
live show and approaches his recorded sound with the same heart and energy.
