Coworking in Grand Rapids

Sep 24, 2019 02:25PM ● By WLMagazine

Coworking is a situation in which independent workers share a workspace. The concept is said to have originated in San Fransisco in 2005. Today, coworking spaces are common in cities across the globe.
For freelancers, coworking offers structure and community resembling a traditional 9-5, allowing relief from the isolation of working from home. For a startup, it provides a professional environment without the overhead.

According to Statista.com, it's projected that 50.9 percent of the American workforce will be freelancing by 2027, meaning the demand for coworking space continues to grow. Grand Rapids offers several coworking spaces, each with unique offerings to fit the needs of their coworkers (see MomHive).
