Beyond the Apples at Robinette's: Grand Rapids' Iconic Orchard Offers a Dynamic Shopping Experience

May 03, 2018 01:05PM ● By WLMagazine
Established in 1911 and passed down through four generations, Robinette’s has grown into one of Michigan’s most lively and multifaceted orchards.

The 125-acre, sprawling orchard on the northeast side of Grand Rapids burgeons with 35 varieties of apples along others fruits such as apricots, cherries, peaches, nectarines, blackberries and apples.

While the local orchard is considered a must-visit during the autumn months, Roninette's boasts a dynamic gift barn year round with offerings ideal for special occasions such as Mother’s Day, or a “thinking of you” gift. The shop has a vast array of clothing ranging from casual to cocktail, including specialty purses, exquisite silk scarves, skirts, dresses, jewelry and more. Not sure about an item? Patrons are provided a dressing room to ensure a piece makes you feel as fabulous as it looks. Before exiting the gift barn, be sure to cozy up to the wine counter to sample satiating wines and hard ciders made onsite.

Top off your afternoon by heading to the apple haus to enjoy the delicious fare made fresh daily. Relish in delectable donuts, bread, pastries, pies soups and sandwiches in the dining area or outside at picnic tables in the outdoor play area alongside the iconic big red apple. If you are on the go, lunch box menus are also available.
