PRESS RELEASE — This Friday September 27th, as appreciation for the
reception since its opening this past Spring, New Hotel Mertens Bakery is offering a free cup of coffee to customers who are present at 35 Oakes St. SW in downtown Grand Rapids from 7AM to 12PM.

New Hotel Mertens Bakery is proud to partner with The Sparrows coffee & tea & newsstand, who has developed a coffee roast specifically for New Hotel Mertens, named the “MertensBlend.”

New Hotel Mertens bakery and cafe opened its doors in April of 2019 and is located in the same historic building as New Hotel Mertens brasserie and rooftop lounge, Haute. The bakery is open from 6AM Monday through Friday and 8AM Saturday and Sunday and closes at 10PM daily.

The Bakery offers fully house-made artisanal breads for sale, croissants and other French pastry and confections baked fresh daily, along with a cafe menu full of breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, and of course, an extensive coffee and espresso menu. New Hotel Mertens also recently rolled out its catering and delivery options to the public.Anthony Tangorra, owner and restaurant director at New Hotel Mertens added, “Our team has worked hard to be able to offer artisanal breads and baked goods at reasonable prices to our community and we’ve been humbled by the response.
