The Runner’s Champion
Grand Rapids Opportunities for Women (GROW ) and the YWCA are seeking 20 to 25 volunteers to help runners stay hydrated and motivated by working an aid station at the Gazelle Girl All Women’s 5K, 10K & Half Marathon.

The Groundskeeper
Spring is here, and John Ball Zoo is embarking on a new season. Help clean up the park by becoming a horticulture volunteer. Assist in picking up trash around the parking lot, hauling compost bins, planting flowers, weeding gardens and participating in necessary landscape and yard work.

The Environmentalist
The West Michigan Environmental Action Council is searching for a few organized and enthusiastic volunteers to lend a hand with their Teach for the Watershed event. Volunteers will help run interactive activities designed to educate students all about watersheds.

The Club Cohort
Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids is always looking for dedicated volunteers to help run and maintain the organization’s free cancer and grief support programs. Assist by preparing meals, cleaning the property, working in the childcare program, completing administration work at the front desk, decorating for seasonal changes and special events or running errands for program members.

The Theatre Lover
Circle Theatre is the lookout for dedicated volunteers to lend their talents to the summer theatre series. Help build sets, sew costumes, run the lights, plan events, usher audience members to their seats and even join the board of directors to help this staple of community theatre have another successful season.

The Tenacious Tutor
Help students at Martin Luther King Jr. Leadership Academy reach their learning goals and increase their reading comprehension. The MLK Tutoring Center at First United Methodist Church is seeking tutors to work with kindergarten, 1st and 2nd graders during school hours once a week.

The Popcorn Slinger
The Community Media Center is in need of volunteers to help sling popcorn, beverages and other snacks to concession goers at the myriad shows the iconic theatre plays host to each month.
