CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) volunteers are needed to advocate for children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse and neglect. Volunteers are screened, trained, and assigned to one family of children while they are wards of the Family Court system. The volunteer’s role is to investigate, facilitate, advocate, monitor, and report to the court. Attend the next informational meeting on June 28 at 12:00 p.m.

The Over (The Edge) Achiever
Over the Edge, an organization that helps participants raise donations for non-profits in exchange for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to rappel Over the Edge of a local high-rise building is in need of volunteers for their upcoming event in Grand Rapids. Funds raised at this event will benefit Easter Seals Michigan.

The New Neighbor
Help a refugee family feel at home in the U.S. by volunteering for the New Neighbor Program through Bethany Christian Services. Volunteers in this program provide friendship and advice and serve as a cultural bridge for adult refugees who are dealing with questions of how to live in the U.S.
