The Organizador de Fiestas

The Hispanic Festival, held September 11-13 at Calder Plaza in downtown Grand Rapids, is the Hispanic Center of Western Michigan’s premier annual celebration of the rich heritage of the community. Volunteers are needed to assist in making the 2015 Hispanic Festival the most vibrant and celebratory yet.

The Prized Volunteer

The Packer, The Gleaner and The Clerk

Feeding America provides food to 492,100 people in need each year. To do that, they rely on volunteers like you who decide they want to take part in the effort to solve hunger in West Michigan.

The Mentor

Women’s Resource Center is looking for volunteers for its New Beginnings program, which provides mentoring services to women at Kent County Jail. This program offers employability assessments coupled with individual employment development plans, life skills workshops, job placement, and retention assistance among many other services critical to successful community reentry.

The Event Expert

The Committee Devotee

GROW is seeking a volunteer with business law experience for a two-year commitment on its Loan Review Committee. Members of the Loan Review Committee perform a valuable and difficult job, balancing the promise of job creating against the viability of companies that many not be entirely credit worthy.
