The Lady of Literacy
One in eight adults that you meet in our West Michigan community are struggling with low literacy. There are many ways you can make a difference! The Literacy Center offers a variety of volunteer opportunities including office work, support for Family Activity Nights, and adult tutors.

The River Banker
Be the muscle behind the River Bank Run! On May 9, volunteers are needed in the DeVos Place Welcome Center to assist guests and answer event-related questions for participants and spectators. Volunteers will also restock course maps, parking and traffic guides, and expo flyers.

The Steady Stepper
Have a passion for helping others? Want to help seniors prevent falls and build confidence? Volunteers are needed to lead an award winning balance program for older adults. Free training provided through Area Agency on Aging of Western Michigan. Volunteers will receive a stipend of $250 per workshop led.

The Resume Assistant
Assist women by helping them create a resume that showcases their skills and talents at the Women’s Resource Center. This service is offered on a drop in basis during posted times.

The GED Tutor
Work one on one with students on assigned curriculum, help distribute and put away supplies, and encourage an atmosphere that is respectful and edifying as a GED Tutor at Heartside Ministries.

The Gazelle Girl Half Marathon needs your help! Help Gazelle Girl participants pick up their packets, assist with late registration, greet participants and help with the flow of traffic. The race is on Sunday, April 19, but there are volunteer slots open for the whole weekend.
