Cider booms into the beer scene with Grand Rapids’ inaugural Cider Week GR. Michigan is America’s second largest producer of apples, so it makes sense that the mitten has some delicious ciders to dish out. Experience Grand Rapids invites everyone to celebrate the local cider scene with events and activities taking place April 17-22.
April 22 is the first-ever Hard Cider Festival on GR’s Blue Bridge. Cider makers from all around Michigan join the fun and attendees enjoy a line-up of local music, cider tastings and food, available for purchase from local vendors. Get tickets here.
Cider Week GR coincides with the 12th Annual Great Lakes International Cider and Perry Competition. Both professional and amateur cider makers from more than three countries compete for awards in 18 categories. This year’s competition runs April 19-22 and is being held at the Courtyard Marriott.
