The Frederik Meijer Garden & Sculpture Park expansion is underway! Since its opening in 1995, the world-renowned cultural attraction has seen significant growth in the number of annual visitors, from 200,000 to more than 750,000.  Made possible by the generosity of the Meijer Foundation and the Welcoming the World: Honoring a Legacy of Love capital campaign, and through a collaboration with Progressive AE and Owen-Ames-Kimball Co., the expansion will allow the space to accommodate 1.2 to 1.5 million annual visitors. The new gardens and sculpture parkwill  include a new 60,000-square-foot, LEED-certified Welcome Center, a new Covenant Learning Center and Cook Transportation Center, an expanded and upgraded amphitheater, a new outdoor picnic pavilion and garden entry plaza along with expanded and accessible parking. Check out their progress so far and head to meijergardens.org/growing to learn more.
